NNAMDI KANU: NIGERIAN ARTISTS STAGES PROTEST IN ABUJA IN SOLIDARITY WITH NNAMDI KANU

Happening now in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria is a peaceful protest advocating for the release of the leader of the indigenous people of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. The protest is organized by the 'United Nigeria Artists for Peace and Justice', which has various media outlets and Biafra journalists in attendance.
They are simply saying 'no to the unlawful abduction/incarceration of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and other Biafrans illegally detained in different Nigerian prisons. They  are also making it  known to the entire humanity, that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and  many other Biafrans held  for the sake of exercising their rights for self-determination, is a total show of injustice and unacceptable.
The activists and the legendary artists declared their #Stand with Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and Biafrans right to self-determination, shouting:
"Enough is enough to the continuous indefinite and unlawful incarceration of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu".
The decried the fact that Nnamdi Kanu has been held for over a year without trial, even when several courts of competent jurisdictions earlier quashed all the purported charges leveled against him and ruled for his unconditional release.
That very order is yet to be carried out by Nigeria president, Muhammadu  Buhari, a retired military dictator.
The rally is equally protested against the planned Sharia trial for Nnamdi Kanu by Hon.Justice Binta Nyako, of the Federal High Court Abuja, the current Judge handling the case.
They noted that Nnamdi Kanu never committed any crime whatsoever, and questioned why the agitation for self-determination should be tagged a crime in a supposedly democratic country such as Nigeria.
They are also jointly calling on the Nigerian government to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and all the Biafrans in captivity without any further delay and conduct a referendum peacefully for Biafrans to determine their interest in Nigeria.
Stay tune for more updates shortly.
