Little did he know that the company will misplace his original documents? In the misplaced documents, includes “police character reports, birth certificate and other important and valuable credentials".
This lead to Mr. James filing a lawsuit against the DHL Nigerian Ltd at federal high court sitted in Abuja for losing his valuable documents which costs him millions of Naira to acquire and praying to the court for the refunding of his claims and damages.
How can a company with a wide range of knowledge and experiences in logistic and services delivering misplace a valuable documents carefully parcel by their customer? This seriously calls for concern. To cover up their unprofessional mode of working, DHL Nigeria Ltd in its claim says they successfully delivered the parcel to Mr. James. Such claim for a huge damage requires strong evidence which they failed to provide before the law court. The only evidence which was manipulated and brought to court by the erred company was thrown out by the judge and as such was not admitted.
Surprisingly, this case has been in court for more than three years (3Years) now, only for DHL Nigeria Ltd to seek for an appeal in other to strike out the case brought before the federal high court without further hearing. To substantiate their plea, federal high court requested for a strong evidence of delivery by of the parcels as claimed by the company which lead to the adjournment of the hearing for final judgment which has been stated to hold on 11th of April 2017.
It is on record that Nigeria Judiciary always engages on corruption practices of giving bias and double standard judgments. If not how can such vital case that requires urgency be delayed for over three years now? Justice delayed they said is justice denied.
